NCAA Football Top 25

# Team Comment
Miami The longer the season goes, the more it looks like there's the 'Canes, and then there's everybody else.
Oklahoma Why in the world are they playing South Florida? It turns out the Florida high school talent pool is deep, but not THAT deep.
Texas As we've been saying all year, it comes down to one game for these guys.
Virginia Tech It sounds strange, but the two teams with the most impressive results so far this year are both from the Big East.
Ohio State Unbeaten, but largely untested. They'll need a better passing game to finish the Big Ten slate unscathed.
Florida Blew a 19 point lead to Kentucky at home. Yes, they won the game, but looked fairly vulnerable in the process, especially on special teams.
Notre Dame After a week off, the Irish face Stanford, which just got whipped 65-24 by a slightly above average Arizona State team.
Georgia It's still early, and the Bulldogs are already the last undefeated team left standing in the SEC. They will get a culture shock moving from vs. NMSU to @ Alabama.
Oregon The Ducks haven't faced a top 25 type team yet, but there are 3 other teams about which the same could be said.
Florida State You can make a lot of excuses for FSU in this one, but the bottom line is that they didn't come to play. The 'Noles are still a good pick to win the ACC's BCS bid.
Tennessee The Vols led Rutgers by one score in the fourth quarter. Rutgers lost to BUFFALO 34-11. As they re-enter SEC play, Tennessee can't afford another loss or the best they can hope for is the Citrus Bowl.
Southern Cal USC prepared for their PAC 10 schedule by facing national powers. Oregon State tuned up with 4 creampuffs. Advantage, Trojans.
Michigan After a lackluster effort against Utah, many picked Michigan to lose at Illinois. It turns out the Big Ten still isn't very good.
Iowa State Games against Florida State and Iowa helped the Cyclones enter the Nebraska game with confidence. Unfortunately, they have to play Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and Kansas State on the road, by far the worst schedule in the Big XII.
Washington Lots of offense, not much defense. The in-state battle should be a high-scoring affair, but the PAC 10 title probably won't be on the line.
NC State The Wolfpack's only quality win was at Texas Tech in OT. They're racking up stats, but so was Oregon State before they played a tough opponent.
Kansas State The win over USC gives K State respectability, and with Nebraska and Colorado down, the Big XII North is ripe for the taking.
Wisconsin The Badgers haven't been too impressive so far. We'll learn more when they play Penn State this week.
LSU The Tigers get a backyard tuneup with LA-Lafayette before they have to go to the Swamp.
Washington State Oregon State was averaging 47.5 poins per game entering their matchup with Wazzoo's next foe, USC. They got shut out. That should give the Cougars' coaches something to work on.
Penn State After a major post-Nebraska letdown in the first half, the Lions rallied but fell short in overtime. Losing your conference opener at home hurts.
Air Force The Falcons are unbeaten and handled Cal and Utah more impressively than Michigan State and Michigan did, respectively.
Colorado State That victory over Louisville looks pretty good today. The Rams escaped Nevada, which is more than BYU can say.
Kentucky See #24. If not for two long interception returns against them, the Wildcats had the Gators in a world of trouble.
Louisville We don't think the Cardinals got the Seminoles' best shot, but it's still an impressive win.
